A key segment of LSA’s practice includes providing cost estimating services to the healthcare sector. The Saylor organizations have been tasked with the prime cost estimating responsibility on a wide range of healthcare facility design and construction projects including acute care hospitals, medical and outpatient centers, surgery centers, clinics, mental health facilities, and medical office buildings. With more than 400 healthcare projects in our portfolio, Saylor has been able to develop benchmarking tools, parametric cost estimating methodologies, and construction costs by department, by region, and by type of facility. Currently, the firm is managing the cost control effort for more than three billion dollars of health care construction including projects for the VA, CalVet, CDCR, and private sector. This breadth of experience gives Saylor current knowledge about VA processes and procedures yet also provides the VA lessons learned from other leading health care organizations.
