Because of the large amount of CDCR work that the firm has performed, LSA is very familiar with the CDCR’s estimating formats, both design phase as well as construction phase. We understand the program’s design criterias, unique factors affecting construction costs in a secure environment, and types of security systems employed and other factors unique to correctional construction. This detailed understanding of correctional construction in general as well as CDCR processes in particular means we can perform the required estimating functions with little to no learning curve. In addition, through all our recent CDCR, we have amassed a large database of specific CDCR costs for almost every geographic regions, assuring accurate pricing for CDCR projects throughout California.
