LSA provides cost estimating services for technologically advanced science and research facilities. LSA has worked on more than 150 projects at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and Sandia National Laboratories including master plan and conceptual design phase estimates. The firm has been the contract holder for Estimating Services at both the LLNL and LBNL working on a variety of master planning, design, and construction projects including office buildings, laboratories, parking facilities, essential services and utilities. Significant projects include the LBNL CRT Facility, LBNL Human Genome Pavilion, LBNL Synchrotron Radiation Source, LLNL National Ignition Facility, LLNL Secure Compartmented Information Facility, and LLNL Terascale Simulation Facility. LSA also holds a current ID/IQ Cost Estimating contract with SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and it works Additionally, our proposed Lead Estimator, Ian Slight, served as Director of Cost Management for HELIOS East and HELIOS West, a joint LBNL, UC, and DOE project, as well as the New Stanford Hospital and Clinics, an advanced medical research and teaching facility.
Additionally, LSA has participated in dozens of university laboratory projects at Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis, UCSF, the CSU systems, and numerous private laboratories and clean rooms. LSA is familiar with all the facets of working at the laboratory including working in a secured environment, the logistical problems of moving on and off the site, and the particular intricacies of construction done at these laboratory facilities. LSA has at its disposal 30 estimators covering all five disciplines, with a special emphasis on mechanical and electrical, ensuring that we have adequate staffing for even the largest and most technically advanced projects.
